Overview
After the pay engine update, a few things about how payment methods are displayed and managed changed. This article explains what's different and how to handle the most common situations.
The "Created Date" on Payment Methods
The date a card was added is only visible in one place: the customer's profile under their Payment Methods list.
It does not appear in the Wine Club → Memberships area (the FIX IT list). If you're looking for when a card was added and don't see a date on the membership view, go to the customer's profile directly — the created date will be there.
Cards Not Appearing on a Membership After Migration
When payment methods are migrated, cards are added to the customer's profile — but they are not automatically mapped to existing club memberships. This means a member's card may exist on their profile but still show as missing or outdated on their membership.
How to fix it
Go to Wine Clubs → Memberships and open the member's record.
In the Payment Method section, click to edit or update.
Select the correct card from the list of cards on file for that customer.
Save.
This links the existing card to the membership so it will be used for future processing.
Key Distinction: Profile Cards vs. Membership Cards
Customer profile payment methods and membership payment methods are managed separately in Corksy:
Customer profile — stores all cards on file for the customer across all purchases.
Club membership — has its own payment method setting that determines which card is charged during wine club processing.
Adding or updating a card on the customer profile does not automatically update the card on their membership. If a member updates their card and it's not being used for club processing, check that the membership payment method has been updated separately.
