Editing Customer Information

You can edit basic customer information from either the Corksy Admin Portal or the Corksy POS.

1. Access the customer profile

  • Log in to either the Admin Portal or POS.

  • Click Customers in the left sidebar.

  • Search or scroll to find the customer.

  • Click the Actions dropdown next to their name and select Edit (or the pencil icon).

2. What you can edit

In the Admin Portal: first name, last name, email, phone, date of birth, shipping preference company, class, tags, internal notes, marketing opt-in, shipping addresses, and payment methods.

On the POS: the same, except Shipping Preference Company isn’t available.

Click Save after any changes.

Managing Shipping Addresses

Shipping addresses can be edited from both the Admin Portal and POS. Open the customer profile, scroll to Shipping Addresses, and you can add a new address, edit or delete an existing one, or set one as primary.

Note: you can’t delete a shipping address if it’s assigned to a payment method — change or remove the payment method first.

Managing Payment Methods

Open the customer profile and scroll to Payment Methods. For each card you can add a new card, change the billing address, set it as primary, or delete it.

Note: you can’t delete a payment method tied to an active wine club membership — manage that under the Wine Club tab first. Each card shows a created date to help identify the most recent one.

What Customers Can Change on Their Own (eCommerce)

After logging into your website, customers can add or update shipping addresses and payment methods, and set new entries as primary. They cannot change their first name, last name, or email — only staff can update those via the Admin Portal or POS.

Resetting a Customer’s Password

Customer (self-service): on your website’s login page, click Forgot password to receive a reset email.

Staff (Admin Portal):

  1. Click Customers and search for the customer.

  2. Click the Actions dropdown next to their name.

  3. Click Change Password, enter and confirm the new password, and click Save.
