Changing an Order from Pickup to Shipping

Overview

Whether you can change a pickup order to a shipping order depends on how the order was placed. Admin portal orders (eCommerce, manual, wine club) are editable; POS orders are not.

Changing a Pickup Order to Shipping (Admin Portal Orders)

This applies to eCommerce, manual, and wine club orders placed through the admin portal.

  1. Go to Admin Portal → Orders

  2. Find and open the order

  3. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) in the upper right corner of the order

  4. Select Change Inventory Location

  5. Choose the new delivery location (e.g., a shipping address or warehouse)

  6. Click Save

After saving, the order will reflect the updated delivery method and inventory location.

POS Orders: Not Editable

POS orders cannot be changed from pickup to shipping after the transaction is completed. POS orders are not eligible for order edits, including delivery method changes — there is no workaround for this limitation in the current version of Corksy.

If a customer needs their POS pickup order shipped instead, options are:

  • Place a new order for the customer with the correct shipping method

  • Process the fulfillment manually outside of Corksy and update tracking accordingly

How to Tell Which Order Type You Have

  • POS order: Shows "Point of Sale" as the order source in the order details. These cannot be edited.

  • eCommerce order: Placed by a customer online. Editable via the three-dot menu.

  • Manual order: Created by staff in the admin portal. Editable via the three-dot menu.

  • Wine club order: Generated during a wine club package run. Editable via the three-dot menu.
