Sales by Order

  • Tracks sales by order number and gives a detailed breakdown of key data points for each order. It includes order edits, refunds and partial refunds: the original order keeps its own row, and each later edit or refund shows as a separate row, dated the day it happened, with the order number ending in -1 and amounts showing the change. Add an order's rows together to get its current total.

    Use Export for one row per order, or Export by SKU (Sales by Order by SKU) for one row per item.

    Columns:

    Export has 67 columns and Export by SKU has 74 (it adds the delivery method, product fields and COGS). Both include a Report Definitions tab that explains what each column means.

    A few things to know:

    • Discounts is one total that combines discounts from all sources.

    • Bundles are split across the products inside the bundle, rather than shown as one bundle line.

    • Revenue matches between Sales by Order and Sales by Order by SKU for the same date range.

    • Terminal Name (the card reader that took a payment) isn't in the Sales by Order export since the 6 October update. You'll find it in Reports → POS → Sales by Order, and on the Sales by Order tab of the Master Sales Report.

Looking for Sales by Order Edit? Sales by Order Edit and Sales by Order Edit by SKU have been merged into Sales by Order and Sales by Order by SKU, on both the Admin Portal and POS. The Edit reports no longer appear separately.

Sales by Club Level

  • Breaks down sales data by wine club membership tiers, highlighting performance across different levels of the club.

    Headers used:

    Date, Club Name, Subtotal, Sales Tax, CRV Tax, Shipping, Handling, Tips, Discounts, Revenue Collected, Net Revenue Collected

Sales by State

  • Summarizes sales data based on the geographical state of the customer, useful for understanding regional performance and tax reporting purposes

    Headers used:

    Date, State Code, Subtotal, Sales Tax, CRV Tax, Shipping, Handling, Tips, Discounts, Revenue Collected, Net Revenue Collected

Sales by Product Type

  • Categorizes sales data by product types (e.g., wine, food, merchandise, other, bundle) to evaluate product group performance.

    Headers used:

    Date, Product Type, Total Units Sold, Subtotal, Sales Tax, CRV Tax, Shipping, Handling, Tips, Discounts, Revenue Collected, Net Revenue Collected

Sales by Discount

  • Displays sales data segmented by discount codes or promotions used, offering insight into the effectiveness of discounts.

    Headers used:

    Date, Discount Code, Discount Name, Total Orders, Subtotal, Sales Tax, CRV Tax, Shipping, Handling, Tips, Discounts, Revenue Collected, Net Revenue Collected

Sales by Payment Type

  • Provides a breakdown of sales based on the payment methods customers used with the following options:
    -CARD (a credit card on file or entered manually)

    -SCANNER (paid for on a supported payment terminal)

    -CASH (paid for with cash)

Sales by Customer Type

  • Categorizes sales by customer type, such as new or returning customers or wine club members to analyze purchasing patterns.

    Date, Customer Type, Total Quantity, Subtotal, Sales Tax, CRV Tax, Shipping, Handling, Tips, Discounts, Revenue Collected, Net Revenue Collected
