Step-by-Step Zebra Printer Setup
Zebra printers work with Corksy for seamless 4x6 label printing. To get started, follow the steps below using Zebra Browser Print.
1. Download and Install Zebra Browser Print
Visit the Zebra Browser Print page
Choose the download for your operating system (Windows or macOS)
Enter your name and email to start the download
Run the installer and follow the prompts to complete installation
⚠️ Important: Zebra Browser Print runs as a background application and must be running at all times for Corksy to communicate with your printer. If the app is closed, Corksy will not detect your printer. Confirm it's running by checking your system tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac) for the Browser Print icon.
2. Add Your Zebra Printer
Launch the Zebra Browser Print application
Make sure your Zebra printer is powered on and connected (via USB or local network)
Select your printer from the list of available printers
Save your printer settings within the Browser Print app
3. Add Corksy as an Accepted Host
This step is required for Browser Print to allow Corksy to send print jobs to your printer. Skipping it is the most common cause of "Browser Print not detected" errors.
Open Zebra Browser Print and click the Settings icon
Find the Allowed Hosts section (sometimes labeled Accepted Hosts)
Add your Corksy URL: admin.corksy.io
Save and close the settings
⚠️ If you reinstall Browser Print or move to a new computer, you will need to repeat this step — Browser Print's local configuration does not carry over.
Connect Zebra Printer to Corksy
Open Corksy in your browser
When prompted, allow Corksy to access your connected printers
Once access is granted, your Zebra printer should appear in the list
Select the ZPL option to enable 4x6 label printing
⚠️ Selecting the correct model matters. Choosing the wrong printer model will cause ZPL code to print as plain text instead of a label. If your exact model isn't listed, contact [email protected] before selecting a substitute.
Model Compatibility Notes
Most standard Zebra label printers (such as the ZD-series: ZD410, ZD420, ZD621) work reliably with Corksy. However, some models have known limitations:
ZP450, ZP230, and other UPS-branded Zebra printers — these models are designed for use with UPS shipping software and may conflict with Corksy's Browser Print connection. Customers using these models have reported intermittent printing failures and ZPL code printing as text, particularly when UPS software is also installed on the same computer. A general-purpose Zebra model is strongly recommended for use with Corksy.
Bulk label printing — UPS-branded models may only support single-label printing via their native software. If you need to bulk-print shipping labels after fulfillment, a non-UPS Zebra model is required for reliable results.
