To connect your Sovos ShipCompliant account to Corksy, we will need the username and password of a Web Service User.
We will need you to log in to your Sovos ShipCompliant account and retrieve this information. I've provided the instructions on how to retrieve these items here:
Log in to your Sovos account: Sovos ShipCompliant
Navigate to User Settings:
Click on Settings > Users.
Add a new user:
Click "Add user".
Set Role Type to "Web Service User".
Retrieve credentials:
Note the username and password of the newly created Web Service User.
Log in to your Corksy admin account:
Go to Settings > Shipping Compliance tab.
Select Sovos.
Enter the username and password of the created Web Service User.
Save.
Choosing when Corksy sends orders to SOVOS (Trigger Status After Payment)
By default, Corksy sends an order to SOVOS with the status Payment Accepted as soon as payment is captured — which is what you want if SOVOS is used for compliance.
If you instead use SOVOS as the feed to a fulfillment house (where fulfillment only begins once SOVOS shows Sent to Fulfillment), you can change when Corksy pushes the order. In your SOVOS settings (Settings → Shipping Compliance → Sovos), set SOVOS Trigger Status After Payment:
Payment Accepted (default) — Corksy pushes the order to SOVOS as soon as payment is accepted.
Sent to Fulfillment — Corksy waits and pushes the order to SOVOS only when the order moves to Sent to Fulfillment in Corksy.
The setting applies to orders created after you change it; previously processed orders aren’t affected.
This option is rolling out gradually. If you don’t see SOVOS Trigger Status After Payment in your settings and you feed a fulfillment house through SOVOS, contact [email protected] to have it enabled.
