Why Isn't My Shipping Carrier or Option Showing at Checkout?

If a carrier you added (or a shipping service like Ground) isn't appearing as an option, it's usually because no rate exposes that service. Here's how to fix it.

If you added a carrier (for example GLS, UPS, or FedEx) or expected a service like Ground, but only one option — or the wrong option — shows when adding shipping to an order or at checkout, it’s almost always because of how your shipping rates are configured, not the carrier connection itself.

Why it happens

Two things are separate in Corksy:

  • Connecting a carrier account (UPS/FedEx/etc.) — this lets Corksy talk to the carrier.

  • Creating a shipping rate that exposes that carrier’s services — this is what actually makes an option appear at checkout or when adding shipping to an order.

Connecting the account alone does not add it as a selectable shipping method. And for carrier rates, only the shipping services you select on the rate appear — so if only “Next Day Air” (or only “FedEx Ground”) shows, that’s usually the only service selected.

How to fix it

  1. Go to Settings → Shipping & Delivery → Manage Rates.

  2. Open the relevant shipping zone.

  3. Then either:

    • Add a manual rate (Standard, Express, Economy, or a custom rate) for that zone, or

    • Edit the carrier rate and select the additional shipping services you want customers and staff to see (e.g., add Ground alongside Next Day Air).

  4. Save. The new options will then appear when adding shipping to an order or at checkout.

Good to know: only the services you select appear as options, but you can still purchase labels using other services during fulfillment. If you want to offer both real-time carrier rates and your own flat rates, see Use a Combination of Manual and Carrier Rates.

The option shows, but the price looks wrong

If a carrier option appears but the rate charged at checkout doesn’t match what the carrier actually bills (for example, weight-based GLS charges), that’s a rate-accuracy question rather than a “not showing” one. Contact [email protected] with example order numbers, the rate shown at checkout, and the actual carrier charge so the team can investigate.
