Discounts in Corksy do not combine automatically. By default, an order gets one discount outcome — the single best-value discount it qualifies for. If you want two or more discounts to apply together on the same order, you have to explicitly allow it by creating a Stacking set.
Creating a stacking set
Go to Discounts → Stacking.
Click Create stack (top right).
Give the set a Name and Description.
Choose what type of stack to create: Order discount + shipping discount, or Product discount(s) + shipping discount.
Select the specific discounts to include, then click Save stack.
Only discounts that are in the same stacking set will ever combine. A discount that isn’t in a set applies on its own — or not at all, if a higher-value outcome wins.
Limits when building a set
A product stack needs at least two product discounts, or one product discount plus a shipping discount.
Maximum 25 discounts per set — up to 24 product discounts plus one shipping discount.
Order discounts can only be combined with a shipping discount (see the rules below).
How discounts combine
Order and product discounts never stack
An order-level discount (e.g. 10% off the subtotal) and a product-level discount (e.g. $5 off a specific wine) can never both apply to the same order. This is why a stacking set is either Order + Shipping or Product(s) + Shipping — there is no “Order + Product” option.
Only one order discount per order
An order discount may stack with one shipping discount (via a set), but not with another order discount.
Product discounts can stack across different items
Multiple product discounts can apply on the same order when they’re in a set — but each line item still receives only one discount: the highest-value discount that item qualifies for.
Only one shipping discount per order
Even if several are eligible, only one applies.
The highest-value outcome wins
An order always ends with exactly one final outcome — either a single discount or one stacking set. When several single discounts and/or several stacking sets are all eligible, Corksy compares every valid outcome and applies the one that produces the highest total discount value. All others are ignored. A stacking set counts as a single outcome even though it contains multiple discounts.
Only one promo code per order
A customer can enter one code at checkout. Corksy compares that code’s outcome against the best automatic outcome and applies whichever is higher — a promo code replaces the automatic outcome only when it’s worth more. It doesn’t add on top unless the two are in the same stacking set.
Usage limits void the whole set
A stacking set is evaluated as one unit. If any single discount inside the set has hit its usage limit, the entire set becomes invalid and none of its discounts apply — there is no partial stacking. If a stacked discount disappears at checkout for this reason, that’s expected.
Reservation orders
Reservation orders support order discounts and promo codes only. They do not support product discounts or shipping discounts, and minimum requirements don’t apply to them.
Troubleshooting a discount not applying
If a discount isn’t showing at checkout, check:
Is it in a stacking set with the other discount you expected it to combine with? No set = no stacking.
Scope (order / product / shipping), eligibility (customer, club, tags, class), minimum requirements, active dates, sales channel, and usage limits.
Is a higher-value outcome winning and suppressing this one? That’s expected behavior.
For club members: only active memberships are eligible by default; paused members qualify only if the discount is explicitly enabled for them; cancelled never qualify.
