Wine Club: Changing Price, Adding a Spouse, and Reopening Packages

How to change a wine club's price, add a spouse to a member's profile, and what's possible when a package is already closed.

How do I change my wine club’s price?

For a Wine Club, the price is set in the club’s settings — not on a product page.

  1. Go to Wine Clubs in your admin portal.

  2. Click the pencil (edit) icon next to the club.

  3. Update the Price field to the correct amount.

  4. Click Save. The signup page will then show the updated price.

If instead you sell a membership as a product with variants/tiers, edit the price on that membership product: Wine Clubs → Memberships → Actions → View, then update the correct variant’s price and save. See Edit a Wine Club.

How do I add a spouse (or second person) to a club member’s profile?

  1. Go to Wine Clubs → Memberships.

  2. Search for the member and click Actions → View.

  3. Scroll to the Spouse Details section, enter the spouse’s information, and click Save.

What can still be changed after a package is closed?

Closing a package mainly stops members from making further changes — it does not lock fulfillment or admin edits. Here’s what that means:

  • Members can view and customize their own selections only while the package is open (Customer Choice packages), through My Wine Clubs → View Packages in their account. Once the package is closed, they can no longer edit it themselves.

  • You (the winery) can still make changes from the admin side after closing — including swapping wines or adjusting quantities — up until the order is fulfilled. This is handy when a member picks up in person and wants a swap. Use the pencil / Actions next to the member in the package. See Edit a Member’s Wine Club Order.

  • You can also still charge and fulfill orders after the package is closed — closing just finalizes selections and moves orders toward fulfillment.

Failed payment: the member updates their card and you reprocess the order — see Notify Wine Club Members of Failed Payments & Reprocess Orders.
