Beta feature. Segmentation 2.0 (v2) is rolling out gradually and is enabled per store. If it isn’t turned on for your account yet, you’ll continue using current segmentation (see Segmentation in Corksy). To ask whether v2 is available for you, contact [email protected].
How to tell if you have v2: the segmentation area shows a Beta sticker and is labeled something like “Segmentation and Email Marketing.” It lets you type what you want to build a segment, rather than choosing from dropdowns/predefined options (which is version 1).
Segmentation 2.0 is the next version of Corksy’s customer segmentation. It builds on today’s segmentation and adds two big things:
Build segments in plain language
Instead of assembling rules from dropdowns, you can describe the audience you want in natural language — for example, “customers who bought Pinot Noir and attended a tasting” — and Corksy turns it into a saved, reusable segment.
Send email campaigns inside Corksy
v2 adds an email campaign tool built into Corksy, so you can act on a segment without exporting to another platform:
Pick a segment as your audience.
Design the email (subject and body) in a built-in editor.
Send immediately or schedule it for later.
Track performance — open rate, click-through rate, and bounce rate — in a campaign dashboard.
How this differs from current segmentation
Current segmentation (v1) focuses on building segments and syncing them to Klaviyo or Mailchimp as marketing lists, where you then send your emails. See Segmentation in Corksy, Segmentation – Klaviyo & Mailchimp Sync, and Sending Corksy Segments to Klaviyo & Mailchimp (Classic vs. Dynamic).
v2 keeps segmentation but lets you also build and send campaigns natively in Corksy. While it’s in beta, exact screens and options may change.
