Corksy has two versions of customer segmentation, and which one your account uses affects how segments reach Klaviyo or Mailchimp. Both are live — accounts are on one or the other.
Which version do I have?
Look at the segmentation area in your Corksy admin:
Version 1 (Classic): the section is labeled just “Segmentation.” You build segments by choosing from dropdowns / predefined options, then manually send them to your email platform.
Version 2 (newer, beta): the section has a Beta sticker and is labeled something like “Segmentation and Email Marketing.” You can type what you want in plain language to build a segment, and you can build and send email campaigns inside Corksy. Segments can also keep themselves up to date automatically.
Still not sure? Contact [email protected]. For more on the newer version, see Segmentation 2.0 (Beta).
Version 1 (Classic): send a segment manually
Go to the Segmentation area under Marketing and create or open a segment (choosing from the predefined options).
Open the segment and click Actions → Send.
Choose Klaviyo or Mailchimp and give it a list/tag name so it’s easy to find in your email platform.
Save to push the audience.
Key things to know:
This is a one-time push (a snapshot). If the audience changes later, send it again to update your email platform.
Corksy pushes first name, last name, and email. Only marketing opted-in customers are sent.
Klaviyo and Mailchimp de-duplicate by email, so re-sending won’t create duplicate contacts.
Version 2 (newer): type-to-build segments that can auto-sync
On the newer version you type what you want (for example, “customers who bought Pinot Noir and attended a tasting”) instead of picking from dropdowns, and segments can keep themselves current:
Static segments push once at creation (like Classic).
Dynamic segments sync once per day (12:00 AM PST) — Corksy automatically adds newly qualifying customers and removes those who no longer qualify, as a marketing list.
You can also build and send email campaigns directly in Corksy (no export needed).
