Editing Orders in the Admin Portal

This article will show you what status an order needs to be to be edited and all that can be changed within the order.

In Corksy you can edit an order more than once — but not every order is editable. Whether editing (and refunding) is allowed depends on the payment method, your payment provider, and the order’s status.

Which orders can’t be edited? Orders paid by gift card, and most terminal/manual card orders on Stripe or Elavon, can’t be edited (they can usually still be refunded). Orders that used split pay, or that include both shipping and pickup items, can’t be edited or partially refunded at all. For the full breakdown by payment method and provider, see Order Editing Restrictions by Payment Status.

Editing the order

  1. Open the order and click the Edit button in the top-right corner.

  2. In edit mode, add products on the first tile by typing the product name or SKU, then click Add.

  3. On the second tile you’ll see the current items — remove items or change quantities as needed.

  4. To change the shipping address, click Edit on the customer tile on the right.

  5. Clicking Change on the address opens a box to select a shipping address (or add a new one).

  6. You can also change the delivery method — see Changing an Order from Pickup to Shipping.

  7. In the Summary tile you can change the shipping method/cost, disable or add promo codes, and disable taxes.

  8. The Notes tile lets you view and edit order notes. When you’re done, click Save and… in the top-right corner to finish.
